Praise your child specifically. Tell him where he is good at. But do not tell him where he is bad at. Encourage him by saying “I know if we do this thing (a task that will improve his performance), it will be easier for you.” Never say , “You are not good at this.”

The brain is like a muscle. You need to exercise it so it will get stronger. You exercise your brain by thinking. Doing one’s homework would make his brain grow strong so he will be able to think great thoughts.

Homeschooling is legal in the Philippines

In the Philippine Constitution, Article XIV, Section 1(2) says that the Philippines will “Establish and maintain a system of free public education in the elementary and high school levels. Without limiting the natural right of parents to rear their children…” Emphasizing the last phrase, “Without limiting the natural right of parents to rear their children,” religious groups, mission boards and families can separate from public education to make their own private education. Thus, homeschooling is legal in the Philippines.

Be a Good Example to Your Child

Children will reflect the adults around them. So if you want to teach being respectful be respectful yourself. If you want to teach neatness, be neat yourself. Whatever they learn from you they will do to others as well.

PRAISE YOUR CHILD SPECIFICALLY

Children above 7 years old know if your praise is sincere or not. When you encourage your child mean it from your heart. Make your praise specific too. When you praise him, praise the details of his works. He will remember them forever!
